Power Generation

Jeff Soltis - Power Generation - Industry Segment Manager
The ever increasing world population as well as the modernization of underdeveloped countries translates into an ever increasing demand for electric power.  Inceasing the efficiency of modern power stations has a huge economic and environmental impact on a global scale.  In order to increase effciency, new materials of construction had to be developed to withstand the more severe engineering conditions.

In cooperative efforts with base material manufacturers, utilities, and engineering companines, the Bohler Welding Group has developed the matching welding filler metals to withstand the severe environments of the higher steam pressures and tempertures.  To go a step further, our own R&D has proven the acceptance of these materials through extensive creep rupture testing for times in excess of 50,000 hours actual test time.

What does the future hold?  As the quest for higher efficiency continues, development of higher alloy materials will be required to withstand the higher steam parameters.  Rest assured that the Bohler Welding Group will be working right along side the base material manufactures and engineering companies to concurrently develop the required filler metals.

If you need reliable filler metals for Grade 91, Grade 92, T/P23, T/P24, VM 12, and Super 304H, among others, proven by extensive laboratory testing and field experience, we are your source!  For additional information and details, please contact our Industry Segment Manager - Power Generation, Jeff Soltis at +1-937-469-2118 or email jeff.soltis@bwgus.com.
